Collection: Hanna Rose

Hanna Rose is a talented artist from regional Victoria, now based in Armadale, Victoria. Her creative journey is deeply rooted in emotional memory, spontaneity, and intuition, with a focus on abstract expressionism. Drawing inspiration from Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, and Grace Hartigan, Hanna’s work explores the interplay of colour, texture, and composition to evoke comfort and connection.

After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Business Marketing at RMIT University, Hanna spent a decade managing her family’s thoroughbred horse stud before reigniting her artistic practice in 2012. Since becoming a full-time artist in 2022, she has gained recognition as a finalist in prestigious art prizes such as the Kennedy Art Prize (2024) and National Emerging Art Prize (2023), and as the winner of the Whitewall Art Prize (2023).

A passionate advocate for social justice, Hanna played a pivotal role in ensuring lifesaving medication for children with rare genetic conditions was subsidized by the Australian government, a story set to feature in a Discovery Channel documentary in 2025. Her work is exhibited in renowned galleries across Australia, showcasing her dynamic and emotionally resonant approach to art.
